Describe the symptom precisely

State whether the issue is no delivery, lower conversion volume, higher cost, changed geography, missing events, disapproved ads, or poorer lead quality. Use the same reporting columns and compare complete periods with enough conversion delay.

Record when the symptom first appears, the campaign level affected, the business outcome, and any external event such as a website release, inventory change, sales backlog, weather event, or offer expiration.

Build the review window

Start before the first affected interval and extend through the point where the symptom becomes stable. Account for the ad account timezone, delayed reporting, attribution windows, learning, review, and the time between a lead and a sales result.

Complete the incident record

Create a timeline with symptom, change, actor, level, expected mechanism, verification evidence, action, and result. Include changes that were ruled out so the next investigator does not repeat the same work.
